"Yah Yah's?
That stated there's one issue missing from this pretentious and obscure typical hang out. Instead of being met with a stare plus a wave of monotonous Morrissey sighs, the practically empty archive is warmly welcoming.
Upon entrance you really feel as if this is really a place entirely encompassed by household and close friends and as soon as obtaining through the extremely unexclusive chipboard doorway, the exclusivity will overwhelme. What is it that these indie fellow say? "Don't stereotype" (sigh). Oh, the irony.
Arty anecdotes aside, this Smith Street side bar supplies the perfect night out for anyone wanting to "spice up ya life" devoid of the use of cringe-worthy 90's esque hot pants. There's a 80 % probability that the music ringing all through will be virgin to your ears, just as a comb is to the boy to your lefts hair. Assume pop meets pep with a little bit of "screw society" punch, and that is what you will find at Yah Yah's.
You'll undoubtedly find the bar service to be fast, as the staff are only ever asked for beer. Lucky for me I love a cold Corona.
One vertical half of the bar is dedicated to tables and chairs, it is the ideal location to talk about existentialism following a couple of too several drinks, right after all. As I appear around, the sweet juxtaposition of smiles and sighs is somewhat soothing.
Bottle Tops have come along to restore my faith inside the genius of As Noticed On TV products. Not that I had a complete lot of faith there inside the initial place but I know we all hope that As Observed On TV goods are genuinely as good as advertised. It just seems like they never pretty live as much as their billing. Well, a minimum of until Bottle Tops.
Toilet trips are tough when you don't have a beer hopping bestie to hold your hand all of the way. The cubicles are hidden behind the bar towards the quite back of the club. As they are situated opposite the courtyard smoke room, a two minute trip soon turns into a ten minute turmoil of "No, sorry I don't have a lighter".
I read a Bottle Tops review on the web and didn't quite have an understanding of what all the hype was about. Who cares about turning my can into a bottle? But then I watched the attached commercial and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

Smith-Corona Typewriter Troubles?
I recently bought an old Smith-Corona typewriter at Goodwill as a prop for a movie, and it all works fine, except for one thing: the slide does not move when I hit a key, so I have to manually move it after every letter. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
This thing is ancient. Likely from the 30's and 40's
Some of the old Smith Corona typewriters in the 70's-80's have a locking lever under the platen knob, on the right side if you are facing the keyboard, to keep the carriage from moving when being transported. Perhaps it's not disengaging.
