UK Cheap Printer Ink Cartridges: Comprehending Cartridge Number
If you wish to use cheap printer ink cartridges on your UK inkjet printer, one item you'll need to know is the OEM cartridge number. OEM means for "original equipment manufacturer" and signifies the type of cartridge that came with the printer. Plenty of stores and Internet sites that provide cheap ink cartridges cross reference them through the OEM printer cartridge number.
Cheap Printer Ink Cartridges -Discovering the OEM Cartridge Number
Take the print cartridge from the printer. Seek out a number on the outside of the cartridge and consider that the cartridge ID may be a combination of letters and numbers, like 999ABC or 9876ABC543. No matter whether the cartridge number of the cheap printer ink cartridge varies from the OEM cartridge, the replacement cartridge could still work in your printer. If it seems that there are extra numbers and letters added to the OEM cartridge, this type of coding identifies the cartridge capacity, ink colour and more information. This is especially true for HP ink cartridges, but also may apply to a Canon cartridge or an Epson cartridge. Here's a few items to help you decipher the numbers on printer ink cartridges.

More Valuable Inkjet Cartridge Information
In some instances a fourth colour cartridge is present in printers. This cartridge usually contains black ink. Although the 3 colours frequently contained in a cartridge, cyan, magenta and yellow, can be combined to make a rather muddy black colour, the majority of printer manufacturers now offer a separate black cartridge. To buy this type of cartridge, search for the code CMYK, which means cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The K is designed to avoid confusion with B, that often stands for blue. K is also the first letter of "kohle," the German expression for coal, which is black in colour.
Cheap printer ink cartridges are plenteous in the marketplace. When you find your OEM cartridge number, you should end up finding compatible ink jet cartridges for every recognized UK printer brand.
Why are printer cartridges so expensive?
The last time I went to buy cartridges for my Lexmark, I ended up buying a new printer since the cost of the printer and its supplied cartridges was LESS than the cost of replacing the cartridges in the one I already had. And my new printer has a WIFI feature. As far as I know Lexmark does not have any generic cartridges like other printer types, so I can't buy the cheaper unbranded ones. The cost of cartridges is ludicrous and I suspect we're all being shafted. Is there any reason why they cost so much? And wouldn't it make sense to have a recycling option where you bring in your old cartridges in exchange for a reduction on the new ones? That would be better for the environment than the current system which relies on customers returning them to a recycling point for no benefit. I have to do quite a lots of printing and I get hacked off at the cost. Your thoughts?
I have used re-fills from a firm who are very helpful I emailed them about a small problem which was my own fault, they rang me and sent a replacement next day.Give them a try their prices are very good www.cartridgepeople.com good luck
